Admission Process

The process of admission to AMS is not outsourced to any agency, so selection can be in a transparent manner for conduct of Entrance Test (ET) consisting Written, Aptitude and Medicals. After AMS-ET results are declared, allotment of seats will be carried out by AMS personnel. The whole process is designed in a manner to be fair and transparent.

The admission process will consist of following steps:

An advertisement will be taken out in March /April/ May / June / July / September / November, as finalised, by the schedule of admission process every year, indicating the dates for sale of Prospectus and Application Forms through various bank branches and AMS Admin office. This will be released in various national/local leading newspapers and also uploaded on the AMS website.

Desirous applicants meeting the eligibility criteria for desirous Pre-sea study programme, can apply to AMS on prescribed applications forms. Application forms can be downloaded from the website and is also available in the Prospectus. Prospectus can be obtained on payment INR 500/- by cash in person at Admin office or at Campus. A Demand Draft for the same can be sent in favour of “AMS College of Advanced Studies Private Limited” payable at New Delhi for applicants downloading application form from the website or for outstation applicants, prospectus will be sent within 7 working days on receipt of their demand draft by the Admin office. Outstation students sending demand draft for the prospectus must mention opted pre-sea study programme they are interested in, Name, Postal address with Pin code and Telephone number along with the STD code.

Applicants will then be invited for the Interview by AMS personnel designated by the Management.

Based on the merit list, candidates qualifying AMS-ET will be guided to the nearest Director General of Shipping, Government of India approved doctor for Medical Fitness examination for seafarers.

Applicants those who are declared "Medically Fit for Sea Service", only those applicants will be declared Selected for the pre-sea training.

Results will be declared only after qualifying all rounds of AMS-ET.

Selection Letter & Schedule of Fee will be issued to selected candidates along with the date of commencement of the opted pre-sea training programme.

Selected candidates will have to deposit initial booking fee of INR 25000/- (Twenty Five Thousand) within 7 days from the date of issuance of Selection Letter to secure the admission by demand draft in favour of “AMS College of Advanced Studies Private Limited” payable at New Delhi or can even be transferred via NEFT to our Bank account. AMS Bank account details can be obtained from admin office. Initial Fee will be adjusted against the total study programme fee.

Admission Policy

Selected applicants failing to submit the initial Fee by the specific date, AMS reserves the right to allocate his seat to another wait listed and selected candidate.

The initial booking fee once paid is non-refundable and non-transferable to any other selected candidate’s account.

The fee once paid, nothing is refundable even if the applicant/candidate/student has not attended the class/college/training for a single day.

Court(s) of Delhi shall have the Jurisdiction in case of any dispute.
