Anti-Ragging

The 'anti-ragging policy' adopted by AMS takes care of preventive, procedural and punitive aspects of ragging based on the guidelines provided by Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, recommendations of the Raghavan Committee, instructions/guidelines issued by the Ministry of HRD (Government of India) and by making sure that a gap of two weeks between to cohorts are maintained.

Discrimination

Indian constitution encapsulates social safeguard measures for all citizens of India in Article 15 and Article 16. Article 15 mandates prohibition of discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth. Article 16 mandates equal opportunity in matters of public employment. AMS strictly abides by the laws and do not discriminate during the selection process and placements. AMS always follows the merit list & medical fitness standards.

Placement Service Charges

As per AMS Placement Policy, the entire fee is charged towards Training fee, Uniform, Books, Stationery, Lodging – Boarding Guided Study & Training Record Books (Distance Learning Program) Training voyage(s), eLearning portal, Practical workshops and marking of journals etc. NO PORTION (IN-PART OR IN-FULL) OF FEE IS BEING CHARGED TOWARDS PLACEMENT OR ACQUIRING PLACEMENTS OR TRAINING SLOTS.

Drug & Alcohol Policy

  • Drug & Alcohol Policy at AMS Campus is mandatory regulation and an important code of conduct on board ships, which is to be strictly followed by trainees & crew respectively.
  • According to shipping regulations, it is compulsory for trainees and seafarers to follow “Drug and Alcohol Policy of the shipping companies they work for.
  • Consumption & Possession of Alcohol or Narcotic drugs and Psychotropic substances are strictly prohibited at AMS campus and all our principle captioned ships.
