ADMISSION PROCESS & POLICY

The process of admission to AMS is not outsourced to any agency, so selection can be in a transparent manner for conduct of AMS-Entrance Examination (EE) consisting Written, Aptitude, Viva and Medicals Fitness Examination.

After AMS-EE results are declared, allotment of seats will be carried out by AMS personnel. The whole process is designed in a manner to be fair and transparent.

The Admission Process Will Consist Of
Following Steps

An advertisement is taken out in March /April/ May / June / July / September / November, as finalised, by the schedule of admission process every year, indicating the dates. This will be released in various national/local leading newspapers, social media and uploaded on the AMS website.

Desirous applicants meeting the eligibility criteria for desirous Pre-sea study programme, can apply to AMS on prescribed applications forms. Application forms can be downloaded from the website www.ams-college.in.

Applicants will then be invited for the Interview by AMS personnel designated by the Management. Based on the merit list, applicants qualifying AMS-EE will be guided to the nearest Director General of Shipping, Government of India approved doctor for Medical Fitness examination for seafarers.

Applicants those who are declared ‘’Medically Fit for Sea Service’’, only those applicants will be declared Selected for the respective pre-sea training. Results will be declared only after qualifying all rounds of AMS-EE.

Selection Letter & Schedule of Fee will be issued to selected candidates along with the date of commencement of the opted pre-sea training programme.

Selected candidates will have to deposit initial Seat Booking fee of INR 25000/- (Twenty-Five Thousand) within 7 days from the date of issuance of Selection Letter to secure the admission by demand draft or can even be transferred through NEFT/RTGS/IMPS to our Bank account. AMS Bank account details can be obtained from admin office. Initial Fee will be adjusted against the total study programme fee.

Admission Policy

Selected applicants failing to submit the initial Seat Booking fee by the specific date, AMS reserves the right to allocate his seat to another wait listed and selected deserving applicant.

The initial Seat Booking fee once paid is non-refundable and non-transferable to any other selected candidate’s account.

The fee once paid, nothing is refundable even if the applicant/candidate/student has not attended the class/college/training for even a single day.

Any dispute arising out of Advertising/Joining/AMS Admissions is subject to Jurisdiction of Delhi and shall be governed by court(s) of Delhi only.
