This degree programme is in collaboration with Australian Maritime College – AMC, a specialist college of the University of Tasmania (UTAS), Australia. The University of Tasmania (UTAS), established in 1890, is Australia’s fourth oldest university. UTAS is consistently ranked in the top 10 universities for research in Australia. UTAS is also home to the Australian Maritime College (AMC), Australia’s national centre for maritime education, training and research. AMC is one of the seven founding members of the International Association of Maritime Universities (IAMU). State of the art facilities, a strong relationship with industry and hands-on training by professionals keep AMC graduates in demand around the world.

Cadets passing out pre-sea study programmes from AMS can be sure of their training placements on-board ship. AMS conducts screening and testing of applicants prior to joining pre-sea study to ensure that only the best qualified and proficient candidates are selected. AMS is approved by S.E.O., Directorate General of Shipping, Government of India, under Merchant Shipping Act, 2005.

Association of Indian Universities (AIU), equates this degree program affiliated under the University of Tasmania (UTAS), Australia to the program of Indian University vide letter EV/VII(5)/2017/1300 dated August 18, 2017.

AMS is approved by the Directorate General of Seafarers of Panama Maritime Authority to promote and conduct courses/training of the SUPPORT LEVEL (Ratings) and services as Licensing procedures with Panama Maritime Authority – PMA and or other prerogatives you might have regarding registry procedures under the STCW -95 principals and International Maritime Organisation Guidelines, vide approval No. DGGM CFM No. 009-2010.

AMS is also approved by International Merchant Marine Registry of Belize “IMMARBE” to promote and conduct courses/training of the SUPPORT LEVEL (Ratings) and services as Licensing procedures with IMMARBE – Belize and or other prerogatives you might have regarding registry procedures under the STCW -95 principals and IMO Guidelines, vide approval No. CL-017-DFE-R and CL004-DFE4.
